The highly flexible laboratory concept offers almost unlimited variability. Consequent supply and distribution of media by way of the ceiling results in complete facility flexibility. Partition walls, laboratory furnishings and the entire media supply are of mobile design and may easily be rearranged.

  • Maximum installation flexibility through feeding of all supplies by way of the ceiling
  • Precise feeding of all media such as gas, cooling means, water, light, electric power and communications (telephone and IT feeds) by way of mobile media columns
  • Simple post fitting and rebuilding may easily be accomplished by laboratory personnel
  • No interruption of ongoing laboratory operations during refurbishing and rearranging
  • Cost savings of up to 75% due to the simplicity of refurbishing and post installations
  • Suited of all types of laboratories, whether new or retrofitting

RL 7 - The installation concept.

Supply of all services is accomplished through installation of a room-wide ceiling grid, made of aluminium extrusion profiles. These support all components of the laboratory infrastructure such as, media columns, shelving units, cabinets, separation walls, air handling ducting, sanitary , gaseous and all electrical installation items. Each of the services is installed in a supporting tray system mounted onto the support grid.

The energy supply for the mobile laboratory benches is achieved via vertically suspended media columns, made of anodised aluminium profiles. The media columns contain the entire array of sanitary, pure gas and electrical supplies. The columns can be equipped using modules to suit the customer requirements.

These lightweight media columns may be relocated by the user to meet his altering requirements. This enables a frequent adaptation of the workstation to the ever- changing requirements.

Addition to the supplied media configuration in a media column is simple. The quick lock connectors allow a simple addition and removal of components even when in use. Connection of additional media is achieved again above the location of the column at the next available distribution block. Media distribution blocks are located at selected spots within the ceiling grid system.

Between the vertical media columns, it is possible to install additional attachments such as suspended cabinets or shelving units. Re-locatable additional vertical supports are inserted into the grid at these points. The use of media columns ensures the complete independence of the laboratory benching from fixed energy supply and waste disposal points. The client gains a major advantage of adaptability without traditional extra cost. The associated furniture is designed to match the elaborate flexibility and optical design of the system.
